Probation periods

Customers in the first 6 months of employment are considered to be in a probationary period.


Packaging guidance:

Where an applicant is within a probationary period, the following are required in additional to standard document requirements:

  • Confirmation that the customer is guaranteed to become permanently employed (e.g. contract or letter showing a completed probation period), or
  • 12 months' track record within a similar role or profession, evidenced through contracts, bank statements, payslips, a P60 or tax calculation
