We require every customer to possess a valid visa that confers both the right to reside and the right to be employed in the UK. Evidence must be provided confirming that the visa remains valid up until the point of completion. Should the remaining duration of the visa be short, we will either request an updated visa sharecode during the assessment process or make the provision of such a sharecode a condition of the mortgage offer.

We do not operate a prescribed list of acceptable visa types.

• Certain visa categories, such as Student visas (previously Tier 4), which stipulate limitations on working hours, may be considered for acceptance following a case-by-case review
• Where a customer holds a Skilled Worker visa, acceptance is contingent upon their employment being in a field relevant to the visa requirements, thereby enabling the customer to renew or extend their visa beyond its initial expiry
